Trimbergstraße is 7 min by car or about 15 min on foot from the Feldkirchenstraße campus, Franz-Ludwig-Straße reaches the campus in 10 min by bus. VAT invoice and combined billing are the default.

Which place fits which visit?
For visiting lecturers and short speaker trips we recommend Franz-Ludwig-Straße – right in the old town next to Maxplatz, a 13-minute walk from the main station (ideal for arrivals from Erlangen, Nuremberg or Würzburg). Each of the ten FLS rooms has a private bathroom, desk, 200 Mbit/s Wi-Fi and smart TV. Late arrivals are no issue – contactless self-check-in by code 24/7.
For longer research stays, sabbaticals or living in Bamberg for a semester, Trimbergstraße is usually the better fit: quieter location, more living space, fully equipped kitchen. From Studio TB5 it's 7 min by car or about 15 min on foot to the Feldkirchenstraße campus. The old-town campus buildings (An der Universität, Markushaus) are 15–20 min on foot.
Conferences, symposia and group bookings
If you're running a conference at your chair or hosting an external project group in Bamberg, we can reserve several apartments in the same building. Up to ten apartments are under one roof in the Franz-Ludwig-Straße boarding house – this simplifies logistics, on-arrival welcomes and central billing.
On request we issue a consolidated invoice to the inviting institution with a participant list attached – suitable for third-party-funded projects and travel-expense reporting. Email us at info@bm-raeder.de with the dates, number of people and billing address.
What else matters
Breakfast is not included – but every apartment has a coffee maker or kettle, and the bakeries Seel and Lieb are a few minutes away. For longer stays the fully equipped kitchen makes self-catering easy.
Wi-Fi: 200 Mbit/s with a dedicated line per unit – plenty for video calls, online teaching or remote library work. On request we issue confirmations of stay for visa applications or registration at the university.

How far is it to campus?+
From Trimbergstraße it's 7 min by car or about 15 min on foot to the Feldkirchenstraße campus. From Franz-Ludwig-Straße it's 10 min by bus. To the old-town main campus 'An der Universität' it's 15–20 min on foot from either location. The ERBA campus is easily reached by bus 901 from the main station.
Can the invoice be addressed to the chair or dean's office?+
Yes, that's the default. Enter the university's address (and chair if relevant) at booking – the invoice arrives by email after check-out. For repeated stays we can also bill quarterly or per project.
Consolidated invoice for a conference – how does it work?+
We reserve several apartments for the conference and issue a single consolidated invoice to the inviting institution, including a participant list for travel-expense reporting. Send us the dates, group size and billing address and we'll prepare a tailored offer.
Any special conditions for longer research stays?+
Yes. From 7 nights the weekly rate applies; from four weeks we can offer custom monthly packages – including full semesters. Get in touch at info@bm-raeder.de with your planned dates.
Can you issue a confirmation of stay for visa or registration?+
Of course. On request we issue a confirmation with the details needed for visa applications, registration at the residents' office or with the university administration.
