Public viewing on Maximiliansplatz – the essentials
The official World Cup 2026 public viewing in Bamberg is organised by the City on Maximiliansplatz – Maxplatz for short. Big screen, drinks and food stalls, open seating for the Germany matches. The City announces dates and matches at the start of the tournament.
Our boarding house at Franz-Ludwig-Straße 5b is one block away – final whistle, around the corner, you're in your room. If you want a bit quieter (e.g. after knock-out games when celebrations continue on the square), Trimbergstraße is a 15-minute walk away.
Which room for one night?
Travelling solo, our standard rooms FLS 1–5 are enough (18 m², private bathroom, smart TV, fast Wi-Fi). Coming as a couple or want a bit more space? Book the larger rooms FLS 9 or FLS 10 (32 m² each, spacious living area, own capsule coffee machine).
Every room has its own bathroom with shower and WC – nothing shared, no morning queue. Arriving with several people and want a few rooms in the same building? Quick mail to info@bm-raeder.de.
